Treants are fantasy world creatures that are humanized forms of very large trees. I was enjoying a nice early November day when I looked up from one of my trees and saw bright blue sky with yellow, orange and brilliant green leaves turning. The silvery-grey bark of the trunk made a beautiful contrast against the leaves and the cloudless sky. I instantly thought of treants.
Fantasy creatures derive themselves from the imagination of humans and their natural surroundings. People can convince themselves they saw the arms of large trees reaching out and grabbing small children. Look deeply into the bark and you will see hidden faces cracked through the surface of the trunk.
